The Vice-President and Minister of Equality and Equity, Francia Elena Márquez Mina, was born in Suárez (Cauca), in the middle of a mountain crossed by two rivers. Given the urgency of defending her territory from the hands of those who promote a policy of death, she turned this into her mandate from a young age. She is a lawyer and received the National Human Rights Award in 2015 and the Goldman Environmental Award in 2018. Under the premise that all Colombians must live in dignity, Vice-President has begun to write a story of change for Colombia.
